Welcome to my blog. In this post, I am going to talk about the challenges of choosing an Xbox 360 console and whether you should by a refurbished console or not.

These days one of the things you will find in almost every household is an Xbox 360 or a PS3 console. These video gaming systems have taken the market by storm.

They have taken entertainment and fun to the next level. What’s even better is that it is something that can be enjoyed by the whole family. There is a wide range of games to suit just about every taste.

I am finally getting caught up in the excitement too. I want to buy myself one of these gadgets. It really doesn’t matter whether is a black or white Xbox 360. However, I discovered that the size of the hard drive is something to consider.

If you get a really small one, you may have to buy another external hard drive. A very large one will cost you lots and you may never actually use all the memory space. How confusing for beginners like me. You also need to consider whether to buy a new one or not,  which I will talk about a little later.

Xbox 360 Sales

I was really shocked to read the other day that Xbox 360 sales continue to increase. Nearly 55 million consoles have been sold worldwide since this product was launched in the year 2005. That is really phenomenal. I must agree that the Xbox has brought a revolution in the way that we play games and watch videos.

There is such a wide range of media content to choose from. One would never have imagined that the whole family can be glued to their screens for hours on end without even realizing it.

I also like that you can get a silver, white or black Xbox 360 console. Personally, I think the black consoles look really sleek and classy. The white ones may be a little difficult to keep clean but they look really unique. If you would like to get one at a reduced price, it may be worth considering a refurbished one. There are some good quality ones out there.

To Buy Refurbished Xbox 360 Console Or Not?

While looking for a white Xbox 360 recently, we came across a refurbished one. It was on sale for significantly less than a new one. I was very excited about finding it and was just about to pay for it. However, my kids were literally protesting and insisting that they wanted a new one. I made it clear that using something that was pre-owned is not a big deal. They are really enjoying their video games and seem to have forgotten that the console is refurbished.

Stores like GameStop sell refurbished consoles which they guarantee to work. If it doesn’t work, they will take it back and give you another way. Refurbished consoles retail for much less than new ones and can work just as well.
